​We recommend looking at Kmart before going anywhere else. Their pet stuff really is a lot better value than other places. Then if you need to get stuff from a pet shop - we recommend either shopping online or price matching. It's amazing how much cheaper price matching is.

The Key things I recommend to buy for your new puppy are:

 

A crate - the fold up ones from Kmart are light, portable, pretty washable and can be used in the car and when travelling. Select the large for the Bordoodles and the Small for Moodles.

​

A dog bed that can be washed. For bordoodles get the biggest ones that will fit in your washing machine. For moodles - the smallest ones. I've noticed that several laundromats won't let you wash dog beds - which is why having it fit in yours will be ideal. 

​

Some movable fences to section off your puppy - depending on your lifestyle and what you will do. We love the Kmart small ones for moodles or puppies - bordoodles may need the bigger sizes. 

​

Some toys - I recommend the squeaky soft toys that you can buy in bulk from Kmart. 

​

Grooming - a deshedding tool, a brush with longish tines and a poodle comb. If you get a slicker brush for line brushing - make sure it has long needles. Nail clippers or good scissors for their nails - unless you want to get your groomer to do this. We tend to scissor cut our dogs using some nice Wahl scissors from Petbarn.
