Welcome!
As small, ethical dog breeders near Melbourne, we breed healthy and happy Bordoodles, Moodles, and Maltese/Jack Russell/Silky crosses. Our commitment to responsible breeding is proven through our affiliation with the ethical RightPaws and Responsible Pet Breeders Association. We prioritise excellent temperament, thorough health testing, medical guarantees, and lifelong support, including rehoming. Choose a puppy from our Kyneton home and bring a confident, joyful new member into your family.
We became breeders because...
We searched and searched in pet rescue and pounds for our dogs but we couldn't find one to suit our family at that time. We needed small/medium hypo-allergenic dogs who would thrive in our family with our existing pets. There were a lot of beautiful dogs available for rescue of course! Just none for us.
Our first dog Ruffy came to us through a friend. She is small but she can hold her own in the dog park! Ruffy has warm brown eyes which she uses to provide emotional support to us when we need it. But it was hard to find stud dogs for Ruffy - as most breeders in Australia are not permitted to support cross-breeds by their dog clubs. That gave us the idea of supporting and promoting stud dogs who we KNOW are great dogs - through gene tests, and experience with their healthy litters, but mainly through their temperament in action.
Our second dog Iris is a Bordoodle - a cross between a Border Collie and a Poodle. In Australia, these are becoming popular but the breed isn't yet developed. It usually takes several generations to create a consistently wonderful dog. We contacted Iris's breeder and had her full support to breed her into the next iterations of this lovely breed.
That was in 2021 and now we are a small breeder dedicated to breeding friendly dogs that fit into your family. We've created multi-generational puppies, been audited by RightPaws and Responsible Pet Breeders Association, and have learnt through mentors, courses and on the job how to do breeding professionally and safely.
When we started we were in Castlemaine Victoria, but now we've moved to 7.5 acres in Kyneton (1 hour from Melbourne). We keep the puppies in our home during evening and nighttime hours, and when it's warm enough, they can roam our beautiful house paddock. We welcome visitors once the pups are four weeks old, because it helps us socialise them to different people, and we also love showing them off! We also can do video or phone chats so you can see what we do even if you can't make it to Kyneton.
Available Puppies?
On this page you can find some of our available puppies, information about forthcoming litters and gorgeous pictures of our former litters as they grow up.
Here in Victoria, we have the strictest dog breeding laws in the country (and possibly the world). It means we are allowed to announce future litters and advertise puppies when they have had their microchips inserted. They can't have their chips until they are six weeks old - and while we are waiting, we are not allowed to advertise any puppies. We are allowed to send information to subscribers of our mailing list. So if you don't see what you are seeking, please contact us and subscribe!
