Breastfeeding
One of my favorite parts of being a dog breeder is to watch our pups breastfeeding. Our mums seem to like it and there is no cuter sound than several feeding puppies.
Some of our pups wean at about 4 weeks - and others wean at about 7. We let the mums access their puppies at all times, but also always make it so they can step away, so they have agency about when they feed or not.
We've been really lucky to always have such great mums!!!!
It's especially rewarding when families visit us and the children get to learn about the breastfeeding. Some of them are amazed.
