Some of our pups wean at about 4 weeks - and others wean at about 7. Sometimes we sell puppies to interstate buyers and we have some excellent road transport companies. We don't use aeroplane travel anymore. We tried it a few times for puppies we had purchased, but we found that they were definitely distressed when they arrived. Today I was looking at our puppies breastfeeding with their mum. We let our pups wean natuarally and some of them keep feeding for many weeks while others lose interest and wean themselves at about 4-5 weeks. It's amazing how different the puppies are especially the different breeds. It's a lovely experience to watch the feeding, and particuarly great to show this to children who visit.
